Meredith J. Carter is an associate in the Trial Practice Group of Barrett & Farahany, LLP representing plaintiffs’ rights in employment cases, including claims of employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, overtime violations, and entitlement to benefits. Meredith is licensed in both Georgia and Alabama. 

 
Meredith received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University where she graduated magna cum laude in 1999. She received her law degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama in 2003. In law school, Meredith was on the trial team and she participated in moot court competitions. 
 
Before joining Barrett & Farahany in 2010, she worked with the law firm of Molden, Holley & Thompson specializing in business litigation and plaintiff’s employment law representing plaintiffs in administrative hearings and litigation in federal and state courts. Before practicing in Georgia, Meredith had her own practice in Alabama specializing in plaintiff personal injury, toxic torts and criminal defense.
 
Meredith is an active member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the Young Lawyer’s section of the Atlanta Bar, the Labor and Employment law section of the Atlanta Bar and Georgia Bar, the Alabama Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  
 
Outside of work, Meredith’s interests include trips to Auburn to watch the Tigers play football, boating and health and physical fitness.
